Double the storage, double the fun
June 27, 2007“That’s the statement of the great mint…” Oh, er, never mind.
My new hard drive arrived today! It’s a LaCie 500 gig external drive. If you’re in the market for a new hard drive I highly recommend LaCie for a number of reasons.
- Their drives are engineered so that they do not need a fan, which means they are dead silent.
- They can lie flat, sit upright, or even be rack mounted to optimize valuable desk real estate.
- They’re easy to install.
- They’re reliable.
I’ve been wanting an extra drive for a while now, but the desire wasn’t justified until now. In preparation for Mud Productions’ upcoming services, a storage upgrade just made sense, not to mention that a typical wedding video can soak up 100 gigs by itself. The new drive will be used exclusively for photography, so I’ve got plenty of room to keep shooting.
For what it’s worth, this puts my total storage right around 1.2 terabytes. The geek in me is squealing with joy =)
