I’ve been some kinda busy editing wedding photos for the past several days, and I’m gearing up for another wedding this weekend. In the midst of a full workload I’ve been able to squeeze in some time for fun.
Last Friday I bartered some headshots (for a friend of mine) in exchange for a lesson on the djembe. We spent about twenty minutes snapping the photos and 20 minutes going over the basics of the djembe before rocking out with three other dudes for an hour or so. I’m not sure it sounded any good (bad grammar), but I sure had fun playing it!
This afternoon I stepped away from the computer long enough to do a photo shoot (month 4) of my niece. While I was out, I got inspired to do a couple new waterdrop shots. After all, the flower was practically asking me for it =)
As much as I love what I do, I really enjoy a change of pace and a chance to learn something new. It’s refreshing and keeps me from getting bored or always doing things the same way. Anyway, I hope you like the photos!
P.S. You know those times when you feel like you’re done writing, yet you still feel like you have so much to say? Yeah, I’m kinda right there at the moment. …BUT I really need to finish editing the wedding photos, so I guess I’m done =)
What a great pic. Your work will be famous someday if you are not already! :)

ps great work!
This is my favorite. You do some very talented work. I’m not religious, but there is something beautiful in the things that you create that comes from a very deep place that I am no doubt missing.
Keep blogging.
