Photography in 3D

My life seems to be comprised of a handful of recurring themes.  Most of ’em are bulleted in “What I Believe,” but there are also a handful of experiential themes –a desire to do something or other.  Once again I find myself wanting to pursue animation more.  I try to keep an ear to that industry –Lord knows things change SO fast– and lately, if I’m being honest, I’m kinda bored with my photography.  Don’t get me wrong, I love taking and making pictures, but I feel like there is so much more I could be doing…

Anyway, I stumbled across this video, and I was encouraged to see once again the blending of these industries.  It’s been obvious (to me anyway) that photography is going to have to venture into the realm of 3D; meanwhile the 3D industry has already been introduced to photography (namely: HDRI).

I, for one, am excited to see all of these things coming together.  Sure there are pros and cons to it, but it’s one step closer to satisfying my desire to do more and varied things in the same 24 hours.  Here’s to “the future!”
